Meg and David were married at The Dairy Barn on October 29th, 2011. They decided to do 1st look and get all of their couple and family photos done before the ceremony, which was wonderful because we are able to spend a little extra time on photos with the couple and they didn’t have to keep their guests waiting after the ceremony.
Creative Solutions coordinated the event and the wedding décor looked like it was right out of a magazine. Cary Roberts Design created all the floral arrangements that brought such natural beauty, color and life to the room. The flowers complemented all the beautiful little details and transformed this rustic Dairy Barn into a work of art. The Wow Factor Cakes also impressed everyone with a beautiful creation that tasted as great as it looks in the photos.

Amy and Steve were married at the Ballantyne Hotel in September of 2011. This is a beautiful venue with so much to offer, from the tastefully decorated interior to the impeccably landscaped golf course that surrounds the hotel. The staff is excellent and food is to die for.
This was Amy and Steve’s second wedding. They had planned a small intimate wedding of approximately 60 people and used a close friend to help them with all the final details for the day. Amy had the most beautiful flower girls who were as cute as they could be after having their hair done by the fabulous Joni Lineberger of Creations Hair and Makeup.
Derek of Split Second Sound set the tone for the evening and kept the party rocking right through the couple’s departure.

October 22, 2011 was a picture perfect mountain day in Hendersonville. North Carolina. Carolina blue skies surrounded The Lodge in Grand Highlands at Bearwallow Mountain. We had been waiting with anticipation for this event for months and it was finally here. Although we had seen photos from the venue, we were ecstatic when we saw all that was there for us to work with. As soon as we drove up, a white horse came galloping down to the fence to meet us and welcome us to Bearwallow. This truly was a perfect location for a mountain top wedding. Family and friends from all over the country arrived to share this special day with Bethany and Josh. Everyone was enjoying the beautiful ceremony overlooking the Carolina Mountains that were in peak season with their brilliant color resting against a beautiful blue sky.
Bethany and Josh put photography as one of their highest priorities. Together we worked to create a timeline that allowed us ample opportunity to take advantage of our beautiful location as well as timing our photos so that the lighting would be complimentary. This allowed us to get several wonderful images for our couple that they will be able to look back on for a lifetime.
Fort Mill Photography is available for travel and we absolutely love to experience new locations. We always work with our clients to make sure that we are utilizing everything the venue has to offer in the best possible light.

It was a busy year for the Small family. Both Cami and her older sister Star married 2 months apart.

As you can imagine,  planning one wedding for a family can be overwhelming enough but having two within 2 months could be a bit challenging but everything came together with the help of family and friends. The sisters are 18 months apart and have always shared experiences so this was the perfect opportunity to bounce ideas back and forth and give support to one another.

Cami is a Pediatric Intensive Care nurse at Duke Hospital and Stephen is a graduate student in physics at UNC-Chapel Hill. Looking back they both credit the success of their wedding to the combined effort of so many different people that made their day come together. Each have large families and the combined love and support they received made a huge impact. Cami’s cousin, a bridesmaid, did her hair, Her neighbor and childhood friend was their coordinator, and she wore the same veil her sister had worn earlier that year. Her sisters were maid and matron of honor, her brothers were both ushers, and one of them even drove the getaway car. Stephen’s brothers were all groomsmen, and Cami said she couldn’t imagine marrying into a more welcoming family. One of Stephen’s groomsmen’s girlfriends is a pastry chef, and made them a beautiful four-tiered wedding cake. Stephen and Cami worked very hard to save money and plan their wedding, and said they couldn’t have imagined a better result!

A Sparkler Exit Made the Perfect Ending

Jia was preparing to compete in several beauty pageants across the United States and needed to have her portfolio updated. Jia’s Mom knew that her little girl’s features were changing and it was important to keep her portfolios updated and current. She also wanted to work with a local studio that could provide a warm and friendly environment to capture her daughter’s true personality. Having digital files was also very important because Jia would compete with a scrapbook made of her best photos from the shoot.

Jia won several titles this year; the ones listed below were directly related to the portfolio photos taken at our studio.

*Supermodel with Style Award (photogenic/ scrapbook and modeling) plus Photogenic at the Miss New England in CT (www.coutopageants.com). She was also featured on a full page in the Supermodels Unlimited magazine.

*Miss New England Gold Queen (photogenic and scrapbook).
*South Carolina Cinderella Overall Tot

*Overall Photogenic

*Wee Miss Fort Mill and Wee Miss Fort Mill Photogenic with our photos this past September!

Jia’s family has also created a local pageant in the area that we have provided a link for. They are great people with high standards and they aspire to promote self-confidence and self-esteem for individuals of all ages, which in our opinion is a great philosophy. The website is www.shiningcrowns.com
