Will and Kathleen were married October 10th 2009 at The Dairy Barn in Fort Mill South Carolina and then set out for a great adventure across the country. They’ve set up a blog to keep everyone up to date on their adventures and get feedback from people along the way. If you have any advice for them or suggestions for their trip send them a comment.
Here’s the link to their blog. http://nomadicnewlyweds.com/
Here are a few of our favorite images from their wedding.

Branden and Christine are laid back, casual people who live in the beach town of Wilmington where the motto is, “Our life is your vacation!” However, their wedding plans to marry in Wilmington proved to be anything but a “vacation.” They couldn’t find a venue that they could both agree on so the search continued and Christine’s Mom stepped in to help.
She had come across a venue that she thought Branden and Christine might be interested in. It was the rooftop of The Holiday Inn Center City in uptown Charlotte. They had never even considered a city wedding but were open-minded to any suggestions at this point so they planned a trip to The Queen City for the upcoming weekend.
The next morning, Christine visited the The Bridal Boutique of Wilmington, and was welcomed by Sandra and Tara, the owners, who immediately took control of the situation. They must have sensed that although Christine had described the type of dress that she wanted, She would fall in love with something a bit more original. It was then that Christine tried on the ivory, Justin Alexander handkerchief ruffle wedding gown that would become her second true love! Perhaps it was intuition that drove these two women to force her to try on that dress …little did they know, that she was obsessed with Carrie Bradshaw’s character on Sex and the City and this dress emulated everything about Ms. Bradshaw’s fashion.
Christine was in love with her new gown and their whole vision of the wedding was about to change as they walked on to the rooftop of The Holiday Inn Center City. This would definitely be where they would host their wedding reception, now an uptown soiree!!!
Now Christine and Branden would plan everything around the Queen City. They chose locations along the Lynx Lightrail to accommodate guests and give them a true uptown experience. They started at the Westin for their Pre-Ceremony, continued to the historical Grace Event Center for their ceremony.
Christine and Branden incorporated a 2-hour break between the Ceremony and Reception for family and friends to relax or go on to The Epic Center. While this was taking place the couple and their wedding party rented a tour bus to ride around and have some extraordinary photos taken in the city. From the 1st conversations with Branden on the phone this was the one thing that he really wanted to do. He just wanted to have some fun and get as many great photos in the city as possible and we assured him that we were the right photographers for them. We love going uptown, having a great time and creating great images.
Later on that day The Holiday Inn Center City would provide the perfect atmosphere to enjoy a rockin, rooftop kind of evening with family and friends under the lights of The Queen City.
Please enjoy the sampling of images and the video we’ve prepared for Christine and Branden.

We met Stephanie and Jeffrey in June of 2009 and their wedding was planned for August 28th of 2009. They had a lot of planning to do in a short period of time but Stephanie and Jeffrey were on it and did a remarkable job. They wanted their wedding to be casual and relaxed and wanted their quests to have a great time. We really got to know one another during the Engagement and Bridal sessions so when the wedding day came we very comfortable with each other. They decided to see each other before the wedding and get all the photos done early in the day. Through a collaborative effort between the studio and the couple we planned the photos around the best light, the best location and our creative talents to create some great images that they will cherish for a lifetime.
They hired all local vendors who pulled together and did an amazing job. The Venue was The Dairy Barn, which made a perfect setting for a relaxed and casual atmosphere. They also used Creative Solutions to decorate the barn with their colors and their style. Jack’s House of Flowers did a great job with the flowers, the colors rocked with the girls dresses. Laura Wells of All Things Sweet make a beautiful cake that was absolutely delicious. Wonderland Creative Partners was the DJ for the evening and kept the crowd going all night long and of course Fort Mill Photography provided all of these wonderful photos.

Unity Presbyterian is a local Fort Mill Church that sits diagonally across from our studio. It was founded in 1788, with its first service held on March 18, 1788 and it has been a central part of Fort Mill, SC, ever since.

The girls sporting their Carolina Blue gowns and some gorgeous flowers from Jack’s House of Flowers.

Sarah & Justin chose not to see each other before the ceremony but that doesn’t mean they could stay away from each other.
Unity Presbyterian does not allow photography during the ceremony but what a great shot of the happy couple coming down the isle.

Awaiting the couple is Don Ostrom of Envoy Limousine. Always on time and very professional. http://www.envoylimousine.com/index.html

- It was a gorgeous day in Uptown Charlotte on August 8th 2009 when Wai and John were married at First Baptist Church. We took full advantage photographing in great surroundings with a fun couple and a really cool Red Balloon exit from the church. We continued on to Byron’s South End where the couple enjoyed dancing, dining and even a Tea Ceremony with family and friends. The Dinner was catered by Best Impressions and was excellent as always.
